There won’t be a new post this week because Luke and I are dealing with an unforeseen circumstance that happened during the blizzard this week. The pellet stove started on fire when the power surge/outage happened. It’s located in our living room. By the grace of God, everyone and everything is okay. No structural damage was done, but lots of smoke and chemical damage occurred in the living room. The aftermath is certainly not fun.

With that, I wanted to share this post I wrote last March about emergency preparedness. After the tornado of 2022 that struck in our area, I’m very passionate about being prepared for an emergency. While no two emergencies are the same, if you think that it won’t happen to you, I PROMISE IT WILL! When disaster strikes, you’ll be thankful for an emergency plan.

I've always loved reading and writing and in my later years videography and photography. The chance to marry my creativity with my hands-on traditional skills is a match made in heaven! I truly love writing about gardening and cooking from scratch and non-toxic living, all with the intention of making a positive difference in people's life.

That purpose definitely got lost in the last handful or more of years, but I always believed that was why God put me here.
